Lead Quality Assurance and Release Engineer

Pepper is looking for an individual for the key role of lead quality assurance engineer. This engineer will be fully responsible for defining and overseeing processes to ensure product quality, including test planning and automation, defect tracking and reporting, build and release processes, code audit procedures and the specification review process.
Strong candidates will have one or more of the following:
Testing and Automation experience
Software internationalization or localization
Experience with open source test automation tools
Experience with open source software distribution tools
Web based applications and protocols
Security testing
Multi-media technologies (MPEG, Flash)
Qualifications:
Passion for product quality
Ability to work independently on diverse problems
Hands-on and self motivated
Team orientation and leadership potential
Outstanding school or work performance
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Requirements:
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Highly proficient scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Python, Shell)
Working knowledge of Java, JUnit, Ant
Highly proficient in a Linux environment. Experience with distribution technologies such as RPM, Yum
Deep knowledge of internet technologies
